Potential
candidates for membership: These are mainly students
and young people who are at the stage where they
have a special arrangement with the kibbutz. Young
people who are undecided and those who have decided
and are not yet members.

|
The number of members
is growing and also the number of children.
|
|
|
|
During last year the members
that were accepted onto the kibbutz were accepted
with a majority of more than 50 percent in favor.

The absorption committee
lists 10 people (residents, candidates, others)
who are at present at various stages of their absorption.
|
|
|
Absorption is mainly "natural" of
kibbutz children and their families. Several families
and young people - previous members and other
friends wait for an okay with regards to housing
in order to start the absorption process.
|
|
Nachshon has
decided to allow temporary residence only before
absorption for partners of young people who have
an arrangement with the kibbutz until the end of
this arrangement when they need to decide whether
to stay on the kibbutz or to leave. Since this decision
many residents have asked to be absorbed.
|
Demography is the major priority
since the absorption turnaround but we are still
unable to note a definite increase in growth.
The numbers are for April, 2000 and change from
month to month.
